Belay Tools
Nicros offers a variety of different belay tools from a number of different companies. Belay tools are used on the opposite end of the rope from the climber to catch a fall and lower the climber back to the ground. Always obtain proper instruction prior to using a belay device.

Bolts, T-Nuts, and Wrenches
Nicros offers a variety of Bolts, T-Nuts and Wrenches. Wrenches are used to thread bolts (which ultimately hold the handholds to the wall) through handholds, into the wall, and into the T-Nuts which hold them in place and keep them from spinning while you are climbing on them. Bolts and T-Nuts are offered in pre-set bagged groupings on Nicros' internet site. If you require a special quantity of bolts that is not listed on our website or you need stainless steel bolts and t-nuts because you will be using them on ACQ treated lumber or another type of outdoor application, please call 800-699-1975 and place a special order.

Crash Pads
Unless you are immune to GRAVITY, you will definitely need one (or more) of these when you go bouldering. Crash pads are designed to cushion falls when bouldering outdoors, just place one or more below your problem and boulder on (but try not to fall off).

Harnesses
Nicros offers an assortment of climbing harnesses for both children and adults, both padded and unpadded from several companies. A Harness is a special belt with leg loops used to secure a climber to the belay rope. Harnesses are worn to protect and support a climber when they fall or descend the wall.

Helmets
Your head is one of your most important and fragile body parts, so why not protect it when you are climbing? Nicros has selected a few durable, yet light weight helmet options to protect your noggin against injury from falls or falling debris. Dont be an egg head, wear a helmet.

Locking Carabiners
Carabiners are the most versatile tool on a climber's rack. Biners are used for belaying, rappelling, creating top-rope anchors and much more. Locking carabiners have a gate that can be locked for increased security and should ALWAYS be used when belaying or rappelling.

Non-Locking Carabiners
Carabiners are the most versatile tool on a climber's rack. "Biners' are used for belaying, rappelling, safety anchors and much more. However, if you need a biner to belay or rappel with, these are NOT the biners for you. Refer to our "Locking Carabiners" section. Non locking biners are specifically used outside to connect pieces of protection together when making an overall top anchor. They are also used to attach topropes to the top of a climb in a gym setting. Two non-locking ovals, "opposite and opposed" makes the perfect system for your rope to pass.

Quickdraws
Quickdraws are used for lead climbing. In the indoor climbing industry, standard quickdraws are rarely used due to theft and loss. It is safer to already have the draw hanging from the wall, but if a standard draw is used, it's liable to walk away with one of your climbers. To solve this problem, Nicros offers a special gym quickdraw called a "steelgate gym setup" which is attached to a bolt hanger by way of a quick link. The free-hanging end is a special steel non-locking carabiner with a pin in it that won't allow the biner to be removed by poor climbers who like to pilfer booty.

Rope/Webbing
If you need climbing rope, webbing, or accessory cord, Nicros is the place to get it! Nicros offers a wide variety of colors and sizes of rope and webbing as well as cleaning and maintenance products to help keep your rope oh so fresh and clean. Please note that rope color varies, and we are not able to honor color requests.

Shoes
Shoes are available for institutional purchase only. To avoid the time and labor spent shipping shoes back and forth when an individual purchases shoes and they don't fit, Nicros chooses only to sell shoes to facilities. Whether you're starting a new facility and need a full line of every size of shoe or whether you are an operating facility needing replacements for some of your rental shoes, Nicros offers a great array of rental shoes for your facility. Nicrotex" is a low cost paintable texture, specially formulated for climbing walls. It is tougher than any other acrylic, paintable climbing texture and will wear better.
