Nicros, Inc. is growing and prides itself on offering the finest products, training programs, inspections, and customer service in the climbing industry.  Since 1992, Nicros has been a leader through innovation, high end construction, design of climbing facilities, design of climbing walls, the development of new handhold and training products, along with providing quality professional services to our customers. 

We are currently seeking Climbing Wall Construction Workers who are highly motivated individuals interested in the manufacturing and construction of rock climbing walls. Nicros designs, builds, and installs custom climbing walls and manufactures climbing panels and handholds for the climbing, playground, and recreational education industries. Team members will participate in all facets of the building process. They will begin with work on the steel or wood framework and continue through to the hand-sculpted cement and finish work that gives our walls their realistic look and feel.

The ideal candidate must be creative, self-motivated, knowledgeable, organized, and have solid commercial construction expertise, as well as experience with working on a construction team.  Good communication, self-leadership, and organizational skills are important. They will be involved in all phases of the project life cycle, from assisting in the planning, scheduling, resourcing, component manufacturing, installation, completion, and clean-up of the project site.

Climbing experience and knowledge of the Outdoor Industry is preferred but not required.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • A constructive and positive approach in dealing with others.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with resources available.
  • The team member must be detail oriented with the ability to repeat processes with accuracy.
  • Construction experience is required.
  • Knowledge of various construction tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 75 lbs.
  • Ability and aptitude to work at height.
  • Experience with cement work, various forklifts, aerial lifts, and arc (stick) welding is preferred.
  • Welding and any other construction-related certification would be a definite plus.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background checks.
  • This position will require that employees travel to projects across the country for 4–8 week periods of time.
  • Other jobs around the office in St. Paul, MN, in the shop, or on site as needed. (Less than 5% of employee expectations)


  • A High School degree or its equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of demonstrated construction experience.
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute bid documents, specifications, spreadsheets, shop drawings, and blueprints.
  • Creative and professional.
  • Familiarity with the Climbing Industry and climbing experience (preferred, but not required)


Hourly pay level will be determined by experience, construction skill level, certifications, knowledge of the climbing industry, and related skills.
